In order to become an architect, one must possess a professional degree in Bachelor of Architecture. Job Details

Since the responsibility of designing an entire commercial structure rests solely on the architects, they need to plan well before embarking on the work. At the beginning of a project, a detailed discussion takes place between the client and the architect. The architects present their proposal and a rough design before the client. Based on that the next phases are detailed out including the budget, specific details and the scheduled day from when the work will start. They remain in constant contact with the clients and keep them updated about the progress of the projects. They collaborate with other professionals like interior decorators, engineers, landscape architects and others for the purpose of the projects.

Since they work in a team, they coordinate the work of the others. That is why the architects involved in designing commercial projects are found to collaborate the works of the system engineers, electricians, plumber, interior decoration and others. They are also responsible for the safety and security of the buildings. Thus, they must be extra cautious about the fire system, emergency exit, water pipelines, electrical wirings, etc. They must include all these in their proposals when they are visiting a client since these are the factors upon which budget will be estimated.

They also coordinate the works of the contractors and sub-contractors to maintain the quality of the project. They keep a vigilant eye on the contractors to ensure that the work is completed smoothly and within the estimated time.
