Yes, it’s to be accepted that working environment and the infrastructure are really good in the city. But, does it hold any other reason for calling it the best for expatriates. If an expatriate has already lived as a foreigner in any other top city, then he/she could understand why I say this. Again yes, this island city is really good for short-term visitors, but for those think about the long-term stay, this is not a good option! I would say everyone is pretending that this is a good place for expatriates. Keep reading to know why here…

Is The Lion City Really Good For Expatriates?

Boring:

Those people who tend to spend more than a year here will tend to get bored. It’s because the city has too little culture entertainment. And, the thoughtful entertainment is very less here. Therefore, a fun loving person would find the stay little bored and as the days pass by, it would be stressful to be without any entertainment activities. To add more heat to this, I would like to reveal that the few entertainment options available in the city are unimaginably expensive.

Lack of Freedom:

You could understand better this point if you’ve already spent some time in any other top cities in the globe. Yes here, you can’t be free. You don’t have freedom to use gums or have arms with you. Although these things can be seen as positive from the safety perspective, the people from other parts of the globe are not going to enjoy this much. Those who used to be free would like to be free, right?

Not for Startups!

Yes, you might have heard people saying that this is a good place for business. But, I would say ‘no’ for startups here. Although starting a business as an expatriate is pretty easier in the Lion City when compared to many other nations, you will have the market size limitation here. Unless you are operating the island as the gateway to the rest of Asia, you are not going to succeed easily. Also, the office space is really very expensive here and hence, as a startup, you would find it very hard to cope up.

Expenses:

As per the reports from ‘Economist’, this city is named as the most expensive in the world. This is such a hardest thing to survive as an expatriate here. I say this because most of the expatriates who are living here aren’t rich. Also, we can see that most of them are paid with competitive rates when compared to the natives who are on the same job.The actual case is that these people have the ability to earn more. This cannot be a good sign at all!

In conclusion, our companyVisa Express http://www.singapore-visa.net says that you can choose to move here when money isn’t a problem for you. Also, if you can override all the negative aspects explained above, it’s just another choice for you. Otherwise, you can very well go to any other place by remembering the sky is the limit for finding the opportunities.
