Hyundai Xcent 2017

The Hyundai Xcent 2017 is a hot and attractive sedan with an all-new signature Hyundai grille on its front. It seems that the designer team at Hyundai has spent quality time on the exterior design and aesthetics of this sedan, which can be seen on the first look. The Xcent 2017 looks bigger, wider, much more stylish, premium and appealing than its outgoing model. Hyundai Xcent 2017 vs. Tata Zest vs. Ford Figo AspireTata Zest

On the first look, the Tata Zest won’t look a Tata car until and unless you see the shining Tata logo on the front grille. The Tata Zest doesn’t carry forward the tag of outdated and boring exterior design as seen on the Indica and Indigo. In fact, the Tata Zest has no sign of Indica or Indigo panels on it. It features an all-new headlamps, front-grille, front & rear bumpers, fog lights and tail-lamps, LED DRLs, which makes it stand ahead than other Tata cars in terms of stylish design and overall design. It is a peppy looking sedan which will attract young buyers towards it.

Ford Figo Aspire

The Ford Figo Aspire is a beautiful looking sub-four meter sedan with an all-new front grille. It is a muscular looking sedan with sharp looks both at the front and the rear. The front grille is a major attraction, which makes the sedan look much better than many other rivals in the segment. The Ford logo, fog lamps, stylish headlights and headlamps blend perfectly with the styling of this sedan. The chrome strip with Ford logo on the boot makes the rear of the car attractive. No doubt, it is one of the best-looking sedans available today in India.

Interiors & Cabin Space

Hyundai Xcent 2017

The Hyundai Xcent 2017 gets a good-looking dual-tone dashboard, which is already seen on the Grand i10. The finish quality of the top-class materials used on the door padding, seat covers and other areas is just great. The clean positioning and finish quality of chrome highlighted AC vents, control switches and levers are also decent. Thanks to the roomy cabin space and stylish design, the Hyundai Xcent 2017 will make you feel sitting in a high-end sedan. Just like any other Hyundai car, the Xcent 2017 also scores full marks in terms of interior design and cabin comfort.

Tata Zest

Just like the exteriors, the interior design and cabin comfort of Tata Zest is impressive too. If you don’t see the Tata logo on the newly designed steering wheel, it won’t resemble to any other Tata car. Overall it is a welcome change from the Tata designers, who have worked hard on the dashboard and interior design of the Tata Zest. However, we feel that the quality of materials used for dashboard, side padding, door handles and electronic control switches could have been better. The other two cars in this comparison review still score better than the Tata Zest in terms of the interior design and cabin comfort.

Ford Figo Aspire

On the interior, the Ford Figo Aspire houses a dual-tone (beige-black) themed dashboard and interiors, which is standard across all variants. The dashboard design, steering wheel and central console looks inspired from Ford EcoSport. This sedan has a roomy and comfortable cabin for both the driver and the passenger. The quality of plastics used is above average, which could have been better. The headlamps, boot release and other control switches are placed at convenient places for offering an extra comfort to the driver.

Infotainment System

Hyundai Xcent 2017

The Hyundai Xcent 2017 gets an advanced 7-inch touch screen infotainment system that also works as a reverse camera screen on its top-end variant. This infotainment system will allow you to connect through Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink. It also supports voice commands with audio-video navigation. The mid-level variant of this sedan sports a smaller 5-inch touch screen infotainment system.

Tata Zest

The Tata Zest sports the advanced HARMAN touch-screen multi-media infotainment system that offers superior connectivity with voice command support. It also supports various other useful features like SMS notifications on touch-screen, readouts, voice controls and more. This infotainment system supports various multi-media formats and is connected with 8 speakers (4 speakers & 4 tweeters) for enhanced entertainment on the go.

Ford Figo Aspire

The Ford Figo Aspire gets an advanced infotainment system which supports Aux-in, USB and Bluetooth connectivity. The Figo Aspire also gets the MyFord dock on the top of the infotainment system, which allows you to charge, mount or store your smartphone with an ease. The MyFord dock can also be used for GPS and navigation systems.

Safety Features

Hyundai Xcent 2017

The face-lifted Hyundai Xcent 2017 houses dual airbags as a standard feature across all variants. The outgoing Xcent had ABS as standard feature across all variants. However, the face-lifted Xcent 2017 gets ABS on top two variants; SX and SX(O) only.

Tata Zest

The Tata Zest also doesn’t compromises with safety features at any aspect. This sedan features ABS with cornering brake control (CBC), engine immobilizer, ELR seatbelts, impact beams and a standard feature. However, the front dual air-bags are offered only on the top-end variant, which is a big disappointment in this segment.

Ford Figo Aspire

The Ford Figo Aspire doesn’t compromises in terms of safety. It sports dual-front airbags as a standard feature across all variants. Not only this, but the top-end variant of Ford Figo Aspire also gets six-airbags (side and curtain bags), which is not available in any other sedan in this segment.

Other safety features on the top-end variant include ABS with EBD, electronic stability program with hill launch assist and traction control. The Ford Figo Aspire can detect any unauthorized attempt to enter the car with its perimeter alarm.
