The S890 is the latest attractive Android smartphones come from the popular computer manufacturer, Lenovo. IdeaPhone S890 is designed for young professionals and fashionable people, is packed with entertainment and multimedia features. The S890 has flip cover and 5-inch screen that locks and unlocks the gadget, clearly that it is in the ‘phablet’ territory. The build quality of Lenovo IdeaPhone S890 is very imposing – compared to any phablet it feels and looks finest.

The slim slim 9.3mm and lightweight 176g body of Lenovo IdeaPhone S890 has a lot to offer. It also features the 5.0-inch 960×540 qHD screen for a larger and clearer viewing area and for crisper images. It also has 8MP auto-flash camera powered by Lenovo super camera software that supports images in low light, composite photo-editing and renovation of images into a video format without difficulty.

Moreover the IPS LCD is not impressive at all; it has poor viewing angels and even poorer outdoor visibility. Though S890 has a lot of new features but trying to find things to prefer is quite difficult, however the customized UI by Lenovo is a savior – particularly as far as performance is all about.

One thing I found remarkable about S890 is that there is no lags, and some of the touches such as Lenovo Notes are a bit good and hand-free. Thus, as far as benchmarks are concerned expect good results, but unacceptably it wasn’t what we were anticipating. The benchmark testing performed through AnTuTu, it comes out that S890 can manage only about 6950 – only a little bit higher than older Samsung Galaxy Nexus. In the Quadrant benchmarks testing – S890 managed only about 3175, only quite better than the old Motrola Atrix 4G.

However, if you have no care about these outcomes – then Lenovo IdeaPhone S890 does have a fluid interface, which can be replaceable by any other custom launcher you want from a Play Store. As well S890 offers an exceptional multimedia experience as it mixed with videos of different formats in HD able to play with good quantity of brightness and contrast, however as far as the display is concerned it is not much impressive for me. In addition, the provided stock earphones are just about second-rate – to put it placidly. The punchy track is not impressive and yet it sounded so flat as well, while listening to it for more than 10 minutes I felt that I would fall asleep.

I have no issue about the Full HD videos and games such as Dead Trigger and Shadowgun. And also the images taken from the back camera have sharp details and natural colors. The only problem the noise is noticeable when used in low light conditions or used indoors.

But Lenovo smartly feature the S890 energy as it allows the user to keep track their battery usage and improve it (check netspysoftware). By using this, you got a battery life of over one and half day on the gadget with the 2,250mAh battery – quite impressive. For me S890 is an ideal phone; however the Micromax canvas HD offers exceptional display resolution along with a core processor for a lower price.
