Itmad-Ud-Daulah – It is one of the most iconic medieval structures in the city. It takes pride for being the first ever tomb in the country that was completely made up of marble. It is a 21 meter high tomb, built in the era of Jahangir, and was dedicated to his father-in-law, Mirza Ghiyas. Itmad-Ud-Daulah is the title awarded to him. Its architecture is simply brilliant and a treat to the eyes. It features ornate carvings, minarets, arched doors, wall paintings, etc.

Octagonal Tower – Also known as the Musamman Burj, the Octagonal Tower is situated in Agra Fort. It offers some beautiful views of Taj Mahal and is the place where Shah Jahan was imprisoned by his son. It was consecrated between 1631-1640 on the orders of Shah Jahan and dedicated to Mumtaz Mahal. It is a must-see as the architectural beauty of the structure is simply unmatched.

Mehtab Bagh – It is a square garden with the dimension of 300 m by 300 m. Its location is to the north of Taj Mahal and opposite of Yamuna River. Built by Mughal Emperor Babur, the garden dates several centuries, but still retains its beauty. It is a significant part of the Taj complex and contributes to the beauty of the monumental structure.

Taj Mahal – It is perhaps the most dominant tourist attraction of the city. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the white marble structure was built by Shah Jahan in the fond memories of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is one of the most ornate structures in the world featuring intriguing mosaic work, calligraphy on the walls and ceilings, and adorned with valuable stones. Tourists throng the monumental structure throughout the year. There is a minimal fee and the Taj Mahal timings are from sunrise to sunset.
