The Audi India established in 2007 is looking after their business of Audi AG in India. The Audi brand is in direct competition with the BMW and the Mercedes Benz brands in the Indian market. The sedan Audi A3 unveiled during the 2014 Indian auto show has been launched on 22/09/2014. On 11/12/2014 the variant Audi Cabriolet has been launched.

The Audi A3 comes in 3 petrol and 4 diesel variants. The petrol variants are the A3 40 Premium, the A3 40 Premium Plus and the A3 40 Cabriolet. The Premium Plus is available with sun roof option also. The diesel variants are the A3 35 Attraction, the Premium, the Premium Plus and the Technology. Here also sun roof option is available for Premium and Premium Plus. The Audi A3 price in India : 24.56 to 32.93 lakh (the Cabriolet variant Rupees 44.75) lakh.
Stylish Body
The sedan A3 is the modified version of the earlier A3 Coupe. The sporty body has a front fascia with a single frame radiator grille, large air intakes, flat head lights and character lines on the hood from the wind shield to the Grille. Other features include large wheel arches, gently sloping C pillars, roof sloping towards a small rear spoiler, a sun roof, tail gate with a 3D look and body coloured door handles and ORVMs. The Cabriolet variant has a fabric roof which can be fully closed or opened in 18 sec at a running speed of 50 kmph.
Comfort and Safety
The cabin of the A3 is loaded with features. The base variant Attraction has 6 air bags, ABS, EBD, BA, ESP, Hill Hold control, Traction control, leather seats, rear parking sensors, body coloured electric ORVMs with turn indicators and a 2 Din music system with LCD display and Bluetooth for audio controls and telephony. The Technology variant has reverse parking cameras and GPS additionally. The Cabriolet variant has Active Roll-over protection
Engines and Performances
The petrol variants of A3 are powered by 1798 cc, 178 bhp and 250 NM torque engine giving mileages of 16.60 (15 for Cabriolet) kmpl. The diesel ones have 1968 cc, 143 bhp and 320 NM torque engines giving mileages of 20.38 kmpl. The petrol variants take 7.3 sec and the diesel variants 8.6 sec for 0 to 100 kmph acceleration.
